Cardi B and Offset are being sued over the use of a luxury Beverly Hills mansion featured in Cardi’s music video for her song *Like What*, which Offset directed. The property owner claims the couple misrepresented their intentions, stating they were only shooting a TikTok video to avoid paying higher rental fees for a full music video production.
According to court documents obtained by *TMZ*, the homeowner permitted the couple to use the property for free, believing it was for a short TikTok shoot. The lawsuit alleges that if the owner had known it was for a high-production music video—now with over 27 million views on YouTube—he would have charged the appropriate fees. The owner is now seeking damages exceeding $35,000.
The property, previously rented by Justin Bieber and featured in a Logan Paul video, plays a significant role in the *Like What* video. The lawsuit argues that Cardi B and Offset profited from the mansion’s use without fairly compensating the owner.
In response, Cardi B denied the claims and is pushing back. She addressed the lawsuit on social media, stating that she paid $10,000 in cash for 24-hour use of the mansion, along with additional fees for exceeding the time limit. Cardi insists the owner was present throughout the shoot, fully aware that it was a music video and not just a TikTok.
Cardi tweeted, “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours… Now they wanna finesse us trying to say we told them it was a TikTok video… IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BITCH I’ll see you in court!!!!”

The lawsuit arrives during a tough period for the couple, who recently welcomed their third child together while navigating ongoing divorce proceedings. Despite the legal issues, Cardi B is determined to prove her case in court.
