Eminem, the American hip-hop star, has taken aim at fellow rappers Kanye West (Ye), Kendrick Lamar, and music executive Diddy on his latest album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce).’
In the track “Anti-Christ,” Eminem pledges to outdo his critics, making reference to Diddy’s current legal issues, including allegations of sexual harassment and gay sex tracking. He asserts, “Next idiot that asks me is gettin’ his ass beat worse than Diddy did.”
Further in “Anti-Christ,” Eminem voices his determination not to decline in his career like Kanye West, rapping, “They say they wish that I wasn’t so angry, don’t wanna see me go off the deep end like Ye, ayy.”
Eminem also takes on Kendrick Lamar in the track “Renaissance,” critiquing Lamar’s album ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’ for its lack of standout hits, stating, “Cause I don’t see no fans, all I see’s a bunch of complainers/’Kendrick’s album was cool, but it didn’t have any bangers.”
Currently, Diddy, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar have not responded to Eminem’s references on his album.
