Fabio Paim, once a promising footballer and former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo, recently made headlines by announcing his new career as a pornstar. Speaking to Globo Esporte via Record, Paim shared his views on the public’s reaction in Portugal: “Here, the news about the film is all the rage; everyone is going crazy. But that’s just how I am. On a podcast, I said my dream was to be a pornographic actor, and suddenly, I had offers, was on the news, and on the front pages… And I hadn’t done anything. So I thought, why not make a film? It’s good to be paid for something you enjoy.”

Paim once held high potential in football, training alongside Ronaldo at Sporting Lisbon. However, he admits that his mindset prevented him from achieving the same level of success. Reflecting on his career, Paim shared, “I was Sporting’s number one. Cristiano only became ‘Cristiano’ after moving to Manchester. Today, he’s a legend, while I’m unknown. People may doubt it, but I had more talent. But talent alone isn’t enough. If you lack the drive, you end up as no one.”

In a recent podcast, Paim even joked about Ronaldo gifting him one of his Ballon d’Or trophies: “I grew up with him, and I think I left a mark. I said with humility that Cristiano could offer me a Ballon d’Or. If I’d had half his mindset, it wouldn’t just be him and Messi—it would be me, him, and Messi. Maybe one of those awards could’ve been mine.”

Ronaldo later responded to Paim’s comments with a sharp reply on Instagram: “Wtf??? Who is this guy?”
