Finnish Immigration to deport a pregnant African lady who fled the war in Ukraine

by Admin

A pregnant African lady who arrived in Finland from Ukraine is set to be deported by the Finnish Immigration Service according to the information obtained by Diaspora Glitz Magazine.

The lady from West Africa arrived in Finland from Ukraine last year because of the ongoing war. Upon arrival, she found love and got pregnant by an African man who has papers and has been living in Finland for quite some time.

You would recall that Finland has issued residence permits on the basis of temporary protection to about 45,000 people who have fled Ukraine. The majority of those who got resident permits are Ukrainians. Few Africans who arrived in Finland from Ukraine, many were denied temporal protection and many of them contacted lawyers who used the situation to make money just like the case of the lady.

Diaspora Glitz Magazine was told that when the lady got the negative decision from Immigration, she contacted a lawyer to help her file an appeal and after paying the lawyer some money, the lawyer deliberately omitted the part that would have stopped the deportation. It was the police that told her that the lawyer did not stop the deportation. The lawyer was called to submit the deportation paper but it was already late because the deportation decision has been made already.

The Finnish Immigration service has extend all temporary protection residence permits until 4 March 2024 – so those who have received the permits need not to apply for an extension.

The devastated pregnant lady is still around at the time of this publication
