Passengers can expect to pay between 60 and 80 euros for the 30-hour journey from Vaasa on Finland’s west coast to the Polish capital Warsaw.

German bus giant Flixbus has announced plans to open a direct service between the city of Vaasa on Finland’s west coast and the Polish capital Warsaw.

The new route will open at the end of July, and marks the company’s first service in Finland.

Flixbus also operates between cities across Europe, the US and Brazil, encompassing travel across 40 different countries.

The routes are usually operated by sub-contracted companies, with Flixbus managing sales, marketing and pricing.

According to the company’s website, passengers can expect to pay between 60 and 80 euros — depending on the day of travel — for the estimated 30-hour journey from Vaasa to Warsaw.

There will be nine stops within Finland on the planned Vaasa-Warsaw route, with a trip from Vaasa to Helsinki costing an adult passenger around 10 euros.

The bus route will be operated by the Lithuanian company Ollex and the ferry service between Tallinn and Finland will be provided by Tallink, Flixbus said in its press release.

The company added it was hoping to expand operations in Finland, depending on the success of the Vaasa-Warsaw service.
