Mike Tyson suffers a medical emergency aboard a flight to Los Angeles.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency aboard a flight to Los Angeles on Sunday, according to his representatives.

The 57-year-old boxing legend became nauseous and dizzy, prompting the flight crew to seek assistance from a doctor on board.

Upon landing in Los Angeles, paramedics boarded the plane to provide immediate medical attention. The flight, already delayed by two hours in Miami due to the heat, faced further delays.

Tyson’s representatives told The New York Post that he is now recovering well, attributing the incident to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing.

“Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great,” his representatives stated. “He experienced nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer flare-up. He appreciates the medical staff who assisted him.”

Ulcer flare-up symptoms typically include nausea, vomiting, bloating, belching, gas pain, chest pain, and fatigue.

The incident occurred just two months before Mike Tyson is scheduled to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Arlington.

The in-flight emergency was first reported by In Touch, which noted that paramedics were called to the plane upon its arrival at LAX.

Eyewitnesses on the flight recounted that the cabin crew made an announcement requesting a doctor 30 minutes before landing.

Passengers were informed about Tyson’s condition and were asked to remain on the plane after landing to allow paramedics to board.

“He was in first class, but we were in an exit row,” an eyewitness said. “They asked us to stay on the plane upon landing so paramedics could enter. The stewardess said something like, ‘He’s a very important passenger, so we want to make sure he’s OK.’ I knew it was him, but I just mouthed ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded yes.”

The plane was delayed for an additional 25 minutes at LAX while Tyson received medical attention.

In preparation for his upcoming fight, Tyson has temporarily given up marijuana, which he has admitted to using daily, as it is banned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

He has also revealed that he has abstained from sex as part of his rigorous training regimen.
