The family of the late singer Mohbad has called for anyone with pertinent information to assist in the ongoing investigation into his death.
The family’s legal team expressed concern about sensitive details regarding the singer’s death being shared publicly on the internet. Monisola Esther, a spokesperson for the legal team, stated that such information should be provided directly to the police rather than being disclosed publicly.
Esther said, “Given the nature of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba’s death and the information being circulated publicly, which should have been given to the police, the Aloba Family’s Legal Team urges anyone with useful information about the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death to contact the Legal Team. This will ensure proper legal procedures are followed.
“Additionally, the police should be informed to protect both witnesses and suspects. The coroner’s inquest has also issued summonses for relevant witnesses.
“Please note that Joseph Aloba is focused solely on uncovering the truth about his son’s death and is not pursuing personal matters at this time. The Coroner’s Court is the appropriate place to disclose any information that could aid in the investigation.”
This request follows allegations made by Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, in a viral social media video. Karimot accused Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, of being involved in the singer’s death and claimed to have incriminating information about her.
