On-Air Personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has stepped down as a host of the Honest Brunch Podcast after facing continuous criticism from social critic Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan.
The controversy began after Nedu invited comedian Deeone to the show, where the BBN star alleged that VDM was involved with men and had received money for intimate encounters.
In response, VeryDarkMan accused Nedu of deliberately bringing Deeone on the show to discredit him. He then directed his criticism at Nedu, revealing alleged private conversations, including claims about the women Nedu had supposedly been involved with. VDM even challenged Nedu to deny the allegations.
Some of the women mentioned in VDM’s claims released videos denying any personal relationship with Nedu beyond professional interactions.
Amid the backlash, Nedu announced his decision to step away from the podcast, citing his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.
He shared an official statement on his social media pages, expressing that while hosting The Honest Brunch Podcast had been a meaningful journey, the scrutiny, accusations, and personal toll had become overwhelming.
Nedu stated that he hopes his departure will put an end to the negativity and allow the podcast to continue without controversy. He also expressed gratitude to his supporters and wished the show continued success.
