Nigerian music industry has never been peaceful ever since I joined – Davido.

by Admin

Renowned musician David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, asserts that the Nigerian music scene has never known tranquility since his arrival. Embracing the tumult within the industry, Davido expressed his fondness for it.

Posting on his social media handle, he remarked, “Since I entered the scene, peace has been elusive… and I’m loving it! Time to find a beach and unwind.” Davido has previously claimed that some peers in the music sphere have formed alliances against him, a sentiment he reiterated in a post from 2022: “It’s me against the industry! Bring it on!”

Introducing himself to the Nigerian music landscape with hits like ‘Back When’ and ‘Dami Duro’ from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012), Davido has ascended to become one of the prominent figures in the new wave of Afrobeats, alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy. Despite their collective influence, Davido has openly admitted to strained relations with both Wizkid and Burna Boy in numerous interviews.
