British broadcaster Piers Morgan has reignited the conversation around Arsenal’s past transfer choices, stating that the club could have won three Premier League titles if they had signed Cristiano Ronaldo after his exit from Manchester United.
Morgan made the remark in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night, shortly after Ronaldo’s standout performance for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
Reacting to the Portuguese forward’s stunning second goal in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 win over Al-Riyadh at Al-Awwal Park, Morgan wrote:
“I wish Arsenal had taken my advice to sign @Cristiano when he left United and was keen to come to us. We’d have probably won 3 League titles if he’d been leading our line, he’s still one of the best finishers in the world.”
Ronaldo netted twice in the game, once again showcasing his remarkable scoring ability at the age of 40.
Al-Nassr’s next match is scheduled for next Friday against Al-Qadisiyah.
