Chelsea striker Liam Delap has allegedly parted ways with his girlfriend, Scottish influencer Leanna Paul, while representing the club at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
According to Glam, Set & Match, the 22-year-old’s relationship with Paul, 25, ended during Chelsea’s tournament campaign, bringing their year-long romance to a close.
Following the reported split, Paul—who has a combined following of over 500,000 on Instagram and TikTok—posted a cryptic Instagram Story that read:
“You can’t keep someone loyal by loving them harder.”
Reports claim the breakup was triggered after Paul was shown evidence of Delap with another woman. It’s alleged she had previously dismissed similar cheating rumours due to lack of proof.
Delap, who joined Chelsea this summer in a £30 million move from Ipswich Town, currently wears the club’s iconic number nine shirt. He has featured five times for Enzo Maresca’s squad during the Club World Cup and netted his debut goal in a 3–0 victory over Esperance Tunis.
The England youth international is viewed as a strong option for Chelsea’s lead striker role ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on August 17.
Chelsea is set to face Brazilian side Fluminense on Tuesday in the semi-finals. A win would see them progress to Sunday’s final against either PSG or Real Madrid.
