Could you please share your Dubai trip experience with us?

My trip to Dubai was amazing. It was the 6th time that I’m visiting but this particular trip was the most awesome. We planned to be in Dubai for a week or two because my friend had a business meeting with the royal people in Dubai but along the line, we stayed longer. I had so much fun, met some big people, and had some contacts. It was eye-opening for me. Despite being on vacation, I have been fixing things in Finland.

You also visited Tanzania?

We left Dubai and flee directly to Tanzania and then the paradise Island of Zanzibar. We went to Prison Island to see the turtles, also to get to know a bit of history and the room where the slaves were imprisoned and the pier where they were trafficked from. Sadly, such a thing happened. The next day, we embarked on a six hours trip to the Serengeti safari. On safari, we saw amazing animals like giraffes, lions, zebras, and many more The experience was incredible and breathtaking. Africa is indeed a blessed continent with beautiful scenery. I enjoyed my stay.

What is the secret of your happiness?

The secret of my happiness is my new found love. He is someone so important to me, who has made me so happy. I have been happy but not compared to the kind of happiness that has overwhelmed me. He is a smart and loving guy who doesn’t only think about himself but about me as well including my career and other things. The journey is still far and we hope for the best.

Will this happiness that you have found translates into walking you down the aisle?

I hope so, only God knows

Tell us about The Face of African Queen Finland?

I would like to say a big thank you to Obi who had the idea, the big dreams, and shared it with me. Without him, we couldn’t have made it happen. We trusted each other from the beginning to the end. We put our ideas together and together we created history in Finland. It’s just amazing that we did something great for our community, to promote our culture, beauty, and tradition. The experiences coming from The Face of African Queen beauty contest are overwhelming because in life there are so many things that we may think that we know whereas we don’t even have clue about them. The first year was for us to learn. There were some ups and downs. Not everyone hits the perfection mark at their first attempt, that was exactly what happened. All the feedback that we got in 2020 will be brought to the drawing board in other to correct what needs to be corrected and improve or consolidate on what needs to be improved or consolidated. We had sponsors and partners who supported us with their products and services, we are grateful for that. I would like to point out that one of our biggest challenges was funding. We hope this time we would get proper funding because the project costs a lot of money. As for the crowning of the winner, it’s just sad that there has been a mixed feeling as regards the winner of the competition. Most beauty pageants always end in a drama, we couldn’t pick everybody to be the winner. In my eyes, all the contestants are winners irrespective of who wears the crown. Right from the day the contestants were picked after the casting, they should see themselves as winners. The right to pick the winner is exclusive to the judges, Obi and I can’t change who they picked. We appreciate all the girls, they worked so hard to make the event successful. They created glamour and added beauty to the event. Without them, we couldn’t have had the show. I’m so thankful and so proud of them. I urge the contestants to think positively instead of allowing negative thoughts to fill their minds because we did something that has never happened in Finland before. If they still want to apply for the competition, they are welcomed. We are sad that after the event, few people contracted coronavirus but they have recovered. The event was beyond our expectations So many people attended and there was insufficient food, no place to sit down due to the large turnout. We provided facemask and hand sanitizers were positioned on every corner. Sadly, at the peak of the show, people went frenzy and they took off their facemasks.

Prison Island Zanzibar, Tanzania

You have started a career in acting. Tell us about the new Yle TV Show which you featured?

Yes, it is a celebrity TV show that portrays the openness and confidence of celebrities. It is a Singles Bare program where women give up their makeup and styles for first dates. It’s a new platform in Yle and we have been getting positive feedback from people. In the TV show, I opened up about my bullying in school. It’s a big platform for me. The TV show is in Yle Areena on January 1, 2021, and in Yle TV2 from January 2

What are your expectations for 2021?

I have been working in the hair business for some time now. If everything goes well, I’m going to launch my hair brand, As for The Face of African Queen beauty contest, I’m planning on bringing in more ideas that will shape the whole concept. This time, Obi and I have a lot of work to do in other to rebrand the beauty contest and sustain its value and quality.
