Kindly introduce yourself to our readers?

I hail from Nigeria and pro one Nigeria mindset kinda person. My childhood was in Nigeria till my teen ages when I flew to the UK. Played football all of my life as a professional and Music was taking its toll on me. I am not the best singer but management is a flair.

Tell us about your artist and why you chose to be his manager?

Calebin is the most unique talent I ever came across. He is so detailed and took everything professionally. Saw the zeal and ambition in this dude and knew he is up for the deal. No choice but to roll with the ambitious team. In a nutshell, he is an embodiment of talent and zeal.

As an artist manager, what is your management style?

I believe in professionalism. Keeping to contractual agreement. I love to put time and resources into bringing out the best in an act. Especially an act like Calebin. He is also of the same charisma and believes strongly In his craft. I employ patience, I make research and I love to have a dialogue with the act to get to know a way forward.
I am loyal and like to work with the topnotch in the afro music industry, putting my act as a centre in accordance with his will and desires. We not afraid to spend because nothing good comes easy and music-making costs a whole of fortune. We are peculiar to our style as ClabMusic knowing that professionalism is our watchword. Basically, anything by the book and promotes the terms of the agreement is what we encourage. We don’t know how to fake it we say it as it is. You either doing good or not ready at all, we will just say it without patronizing you.

In artist management, what is more important to you money or success?

To be honest both of them work hand in hand. Why put effort and resources if you’re not expecting a return. However, I charge any act to put success as a primary target cos that’s what gives birth to the abundance of wealth. Success attracts shows, streams, endorsements, and the likes.

What are the challenges associated with artist management?

First of all, it’s a broad spectrum kind of business, and hard to pinpoint what exactly is the challenges depending on the circumstances. However, you either facing a financial challenge or then a promotional strategy. Money is an integral part of music these days ranging from making good beats to all of the radio and TV promotion of a new song without which you cannot get the music across.

What success have you achieved with your artist?

Numerous successes of course but to mention but few would be the fact that you are recognized all over Europe as the best and currently embarking on projects with acts like Zlatan and Davido endorsing your craft and calling you a potential. Won the African Diaspora award on a back to back basis. I was awarded the best manager in Europe.
Also, great achievement is working with other EU acts on collaborations.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

hmmmm! Let God take control, but I see the best acts and a record label in the next few years. I see dominance and a Grammy award winner with too much money from being the best in the industry. I see endorsement and a manager bigger and versatile.

What do you have to say about Afro artists in Finland?

No doubt there are talents everywhere else like there are in Finland. But again I believe in the connect and the vision. I see potential in acts in Finland. However, production is very important and these acts should take it very important. They should employ capable and top-notch production for standard music.
I have always said that some acts are into music because of the ladies. Afrobeat is a global genre and with loads of potential. Whatever you search for is what you get.
Finland is impressive when it comes to structure and facilities, the sponsorship is not enough yet, however, the facilities can make up for it. Afrobeat is grown here in Finland, clubs, and events would play Afrobeat irrespective.
So we are on a progressive pathway and the future is bright.
