American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a post shared on her Instagram on Wednesday, following the presidential debate, Swift announced her support for Harris in the 2024 Presidential Election. This came shortly after the debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night.

Swift stated that she will be voting for Harris and Tim Walz, praising Harris for championing causes that are important to her. The singer described Harris as a steady-handed, gifted leader who aligns with her values.

“I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior,” Swift wrote. “She is a strong, capable leader, and I believe we can achieve more when led by calm, not chaos.”

She also expressed admiration for Harris’s choice of running mate, Tim Walz, who has long supported LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s reproductive rights.

Swift encouraged her fans to do their own research before making their voting decisions and emphasized the importance of registering to vote, reminding first-time voters to get ready for the election.

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is yours to do, and the choice is yours to make,” she concluded.
