Miss SA Controversy:Tyla condemns the bullying of finalist Chidimma Adetshina.

by Admin

Grammy-winning South African singer Tyla has condemned the bullying of Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, a Miss South Africa finalist who recently withdrew from the competition following scrutiny over her nationality.

Adetshina, a model with Nigerian and Mozambican heritage, faced controversy in July after advancing to the round of 16 in the Miss South Africa pageant. She withdrew from the competition despite being a Top 11 Finalist after the South African Department of Home Affairs alleged that her mother might have committed fraud and identity theft.

Tyla expressed disappointment over the harsh treatment of Adetshina, stating that the model was bullied out of the contest. On X, Tyla shared a report about Adetshina’s withdrawal, saying, “Disappointed that this happened to her, but wish you all the best girl. Kill it!”

Tyla added, “I will always stand with South Africa, but I feel that regardless of the opinions… She was bullied, and that’s something I don’t stand for.”

In response, Miss Universe Nigeria has extended an invitation to Chidimma Adetshina to join their contest, though she has yet to comment on the offer.
