Hip Hop mogul Diddy has slashed the asking price for his Beverly Hills mansion, which was raided by Homeland Security in March during a suspected s3x trafficking probe.
The 54-year-old rapper, who was caught on a 2016 security video violently beating ex Cassie, bought the home for $40 million in 2014. In July, it was reported that he planned to sell it for $70 million.
Now, the lavish property, featuring 13,000 square feet of living space and 1.3 acres of land, is on the market for $61 million, according to Mail Online.
A source close to Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, revealed that he had planned to sell the home before the federal raids, stating, “Diddy established his primary residence in Miami years ago and always planned to sell his LA home once his daughters grew up and moved out. He’s an empty nester and spends most of his time in Florida. It has nothing to do with any civil litigation or investigation.”
The mansion boasts a grand cobblestone driveway leading to a completely remodeled estate with classic European design elements. The property includes a luxurious paneled entry foyer with a sweeping staircase bathed in natural light, a large living room, formal dining room, wine cellar, office, and a gourmet kitchen with a family room and separate catering kitchen.
Additional features include a 35-seat theater, a two-story guest house, gym, basketball court, and a resort-like swimming pool with a waterfall and grotto.
The listing is set to appear on the real estate world’s Multiple Listing Service on Monday.
Back in July, it was reported by TMZ that Diddy was attempting to sell the home for $70 million off-market. Sources indicated that Diddy “wants out of LA” and has been spending most of his time in Miami.
Earlier this year, Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles were shockingly raided by federal agents as part of a s3x trafficking investigation. The rapper is also facing lawsuits from other accusers alleging sexual misconduct and abuse.
