Donald Trump has been inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, marking his return to the White House for a second term.
This historic event marks his return after serving as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.

The swearing-in ceremony was held in the Capitol Rotunda due to the cold weather outside.
Trump took the oath on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Trump declared during his oath.
Prior to Trump, JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States and former Ohio Senator from 2023 to 2025, also took his oath of office.
The inauguration was graced by several prominent figures, including the world’s richest man Elon Musk, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
