Grammy controversy : Davido unfollows Rexxie

by Admin

Singer Davido made a noteworthy move on social media by unfollowing record producer Rexxie on Instagram, following what appears to be a subtle jab aimed at him regarding the Grammys.

Rexxie, who asserted that his production contributions earned nominations for Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album, “Twice As Tall,” and the Grammy-nominated song “Do Yourself” by Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy, engaged in a Twitter exchange with a Davido fan on Sunday. During this interaction, Rexxie boldly claimed that he secured a Grammy nomination ahead of Davido.

Expanding on his assertion, Rexxie went on to boast that his Grammy nominations were achieved without relying on sympathy or resorting to tactics like appearing in uniformed children’s videos, a possible reference to Davido’s philanthropic efforts. In a tweet that has since been deleted, he wrote, “Before your fav gets a Grammy, I’ve already achieved it. I didn’t need sympathy or dance with kids in uniform or show up early at the event with my entourage and family members. Respect!”

This assertion seemingly did not sit well with Davido, prompting him to swiftly unfollow Rexxie on social media platforms.

Interestingly, this development comes merely three weeks after Rexxie disclosed that Davido extended support to him during a recent detainment incident in Uganda.
