Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has claimed she is “the most bullied widow” in Nigeria.
She accused her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of turning people against her by insisting on a DNA test for her son, Liam.
Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Omowunmi said, “I have nothing to hide. I don’t have an issue with my father-in-law asking for a DNA test, but it’s the way he is going about it. Presently, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria.” She revealed that she and Joseph Aloba were once close and that he had pressured her and Mohbad into having a child before they were ready, using fasting and prayer.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and less than 24 hours later, his father buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Amid controversies surrounding his death, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.
The autopsy results are still pending. However, Joseph Aloba has insisted that Mohbad will not be reburied until the results are released and a DNA test confirms Liam’s paternity.
