Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has clarified that he is from a respectful family, contrary to what some people think.
He explained that his occasional misdemeanours as a celebrity don’t mean he wasn’t properly raised.
Davido made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri in Delta State on Saturday. “I was brought up by great parents. I come from a very respectful family, but sometimes, as OBO, I may act out of place,” he said.
Recently, Wizkid threw shade at Davido’s family, claiming that the ‘OBO’ crooner wasn’t raised well.
“When you see people whose fathers and family trained them, you’ll know! You don’t see my uncle dancing online!” Wizkid wrote on his X handle, alluding to Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, known as the ‘Dancing Governor’ for his numerous dance videos online.
