One of the brightest new stars in Finnish indie music, Jesse Markin was among the few artists who have African roots that graced the enviable stage of the Flow Festival in Helsinki.
Being among the festival artists with the likes of Hassan Maikal & Yeboyah goes to show that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for artists of African backgrounds in Africa. The Liberian-born star rapper and singer combines indie pop, folk, hip-hop, r&b, and electronic radio pop in his music.
