Nigerian Afrobeats megastar, Rema, has arrived in India to perform at the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant.

On Instagram Thursday night, the ‘Calm Down’ singer posted a video of himself walking towards a private chartered plane in an all-black outfit, accompanied by the song ‘Azaman’ from his recently released sophomore album, ‘He Is,’ as background music. He also included an emoji of the Indian tricolor.

According to the Hindustan Times, Rema is charging $3 million to perform his global hit song ‘Calm Down’ at the event.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber reportedly received $10 million for his performance at the event. Pop star Rihanna also performed for an undisclosed fee.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.

The four-day wedding extravaganza in Mumbai is the final event in a series of lavish parties the family has hosted since March.

Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper are among several other prominent attendees.
