American rapper Cardi B has stated that the TikTok ban in the United States would not affect her.
Reports indicate that TikTok ceased operations in the U.S. on January 19 after its Chinese owners failed to comply with a law enacted by President Joe Biden in April 2024, requiring them to sell the platform.
In response to the ban, a social media user with the handle @1lex suggested that rappers like Cardi B, who allegedly rely on TikTok for music promotion, should seek alternative jobs.
The user wrote, “Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.”
Cardi B replied, “Babe, I’m getting a $7 million offer to do my own vitamins. I can retire you from your flipping burger job by tomorrow. Thank me though; I’ve been helping you get your $8.99 Twitter check.”
