According to the event producer, Obi-West Utchaychukwu “Culture plays a significant role in our society. It unites people and fosters peace, integration and inclusion. This is the third event my organisation will organise this year. We have successfully organised International Women’s Day in March where awards of excellence were given to outstanding African women. In April, we organised the African Jollof Rice Competition in collaboration with Helsinki City vocational school. We also have more events to organise like Miss Afro Diaspora Finland, a beauty pageant for young black ladies living in Finland. The great job that I’m doing to change the immigrant narrative in Finland is what got me the Järvenpää job and more are underway, he said
