A lady posted a photo of a man yesterday on Facebook and the caption was “This man here is a fraudster.” The post which was made in one of the open groups of Finnish entrepreneurs got the attention of many people before she deleted it. According to her, she deleted the post because she started getting a lot of inbox messages regarding her post.
Diaspora Glitz Magazine contacted her to know what triggered the post. The lady whose name is Maria Leana, 25, from Bangladesh said the man in question is her ex-husband who divorced her unjustly after making her wait for seven years.
The man’s name is Sumon Ahmed, 38, also from Bangladesh. She said he operates a restaurant in Pietarsaari, a town and municipality in Ostrobothnia. Maria, in her narration alleged that her ex-husband made her wait for seven years and after getting his papers in Finland he decided to dump her and planning to marry another lady.
She stated that she sponsored him to Finland and when he was still in Bangladesh she gave him a lot of money when totalled is about one million Bangladeshi taka (10 lakh) which is close to €10,000. When asked if her family has returned the dowry, she said no; reason being that the ex-husband is owing her.
She said they got married in 2013 and they have a son who is seven years old. Maria who claims that her son’s father has stopped sending money to her for his upkeep wants to make a formal complaint to the police.
