Cristiano Ronaldo announces new career venture with move into the film industry.
Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, currently playing for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, has unveiled plans for a new chapter away from the pitch.
At 40, Ronaldo is teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, known for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Layer Cake, to launch a new independent film studio named UR MARV.
The studio aims to merge cutting-edge technology with classic storytelling. According to a statement on Ronaldo’s official X (formerly Twitter) account:
“Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sport – and they both love a good story. Both have been disruptive champions in their fields and will now combine the world of sport and storytelling through the launch of UR MARV.”
Vaughn added:
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero.
