HEED Association Finland is the winner of the Member Association of the Year -MAYA Award by Moniheli ry.
The award is organized by Moniheli ry, an umbrella body of over 100 associations run by people of immigrant backgrounds. Heed Association Finland won the award for the work they do to promote health, education and integration of immigrants.

The chairperson of Heed Association Finland is Emma Tamankag, a Cameroonian-born lecturer at Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
MAYA Awards
She dedicated the award to all those associations in Finland impacting the lives of immigrants in one way or another. Let’s together work towards a better Finland for all, she stated.
