Tekno denies claims of receiving N1 billion in royalties from Kizz Daniel’s song ‘Buga.’

Nigerian singer Kelechi Austin Miles, known as Tekno, has refuted claims that he received N1 billion in royalties from his collaboration with Kizz Daniel on the song ‘Buga.’

A blog called Budget TV alleged on X that Tekno revealed Kizz Daniel sends him 50% of ‘Buga’ revenues monthly.

They further claimed that Tekno said he had received nearly a billion Naira from Kizz Daniel as royalties for the song.

The blog wrote: “I joined Kizz Daniel on ‘Buga’ without a legal agreement and wasn’t expecting anything. I wanted to stay quiet, but Kizz Daniel deserves credit for sending me 50% of all revenue from the song. After his ‘Buga’ tour, he sent me close to a billion Naira. Now I receive millions monthly as my share of the revenue. Kizz is a great guy. ~ Tekno Reveals’.”

In response, Tekno dismissed the interview as “fake.”

On his X handle, he stated: “His money doesn’t even reach. Anyone spreading that fake interview, may thunder strike your mother. #Talkingshit.”
