A&A Kiviasennus Palvelut FC is now the latest football club to join the Nigerian Premier League. The football club is owned by Finland-based Nigerian businessman, Mr. Anthony Atuegwu who hails from Nnewi in Anambra State, Nigeria. The club was listed in the top-flight division after completing the acquisition of an undisclosed Nationwide League club.
Mr. Atuegwu is a former executive member of Igbo Union in Finland, a founding member of Anambra State Association in Finland where he currently serve as the Social Director. He owns an interlocking company in Finland with several workers under him.
The club is currently being managed by Benjamin Lotana Ifejiofor, a former Gabros player and the club uses the Ejigbo mini stadium in Lagos for their training.
It was reported that the club may shift their base to Anambra state where the Chairman hails from for their third-tier league campaign but the exact city was not mentioned. Awka is the capital of the state, having a base in Onitsha, the commercial nerve center of the state wouldn’t be a bad idea but Nnewi the hometown of the club president cannot be ruled out. You would recall that three clubs Gabros International FC, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, and Goddosky FC, were known names in Nnewi but today they have gone into extinction
The club president, Mr. Anthony is an ex-player who came to Finland to play football. He is well known within the African diaspora in Finland.
