Naira declines by 8.24% against the dollar in the official market.

On Wednesday, the naira depreciated in the official market, trading at N1,669.15 to the dollar.

Data from the FMDQ Exchange, which oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, indicated that the naira lost N127.21. This marks an 8.24% decline compared to the previous trading date on Monday, September 30, when it was valued at N1,541.94 to the dollar.

Additionally, total daily turnover decreased to $176.45 million on Wednesday, down from $181.86 million recorded on Monday.

In the Investor’s and Exporter’s window, the naira traded between N1,699 and N1,550 against the dollar.
