One of the pillars of the African community in Finland, the founding member and patron of Ghana Union Finland, Sir Solomon Wilberforce Essandor is dead. According to Facebook post of the incumbent President of the Ghana Union Finland, Mr Nana Osei Gyimah, late Sir Essandor will be greatly missed.

The Pastor of the Church of Pentecost in Finland, Edmund Appiah also reacted to the death of Sir Essandor. He wrote,
My Eulogy to a friend, a fatherly figure and a family, a socialite, a pillar of support to migrant society in Finland. How art the mighty fallen Sir Solomon Wilberforce ‘William’ Essandor (A.K.A. Paa Willie). You will be fondly remembered and missed, Rest In Perfect Peace. Our prayers and condolences to the entire Essandor family!!!
Late Essandor holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Helsinki. He came to Finland in1989. He once worked for Posti Oy, Helsinki Post Center for more than twelve years in various positions.
